overview of comments and other 112 blogs

I started this assignment as a lurker! I searched the internet for interesting blog sites and
the three blogs that grabbed my attention the most were http://www.blog.2modern.com/, http://www.designers-who-blog.com/ and
http://www.ndesign-studio.com/.
As soon as I made my own blog I started looking up fellow classmate’s.
I made comments on the blogs with content that interested me.
One of these people was http://www.robertwigmore.blogspot.com/.
The comment I made was “well done with that project Robert! Very Unique theme and it works well.
You made me interested in your work and would like to see some more of it! Check out my blog sometime! Tanya”
The reply I got from Robert went as following “ Nice blog.I like how you added in the post up the top with the four colourful images to add a little something extra. Looking good.”
Some other interesting blogs I commented on were http://boothmichael36.blogspot.com/ , http://millynsimo.blogspot.com/, http://rowanharty.blogspot.com/, http://reneenorman112.blogspot.com/, http://nathanberrett112.blogspot.com/,
http://jamesrussell999.blogspot.com/.
The feedback I got from all people was very positive and helpful.
I left the original comments on my posts so I can keep going back and review other people’s opinions about my work.

My name is Tanya Mazurkiewicz, I study design at the Victoria University of Wellington and plan
to major in interior architecture.
The aim of my first modelling project was to create a cardboard and wire model using only cuts and straight lines.
The drawing which responds to the model was created by a mixture of linear lines and planes.
The overlapping lines create depth and the smudging which radiates in a controlled manner creates and interesting effect.
This made the drawing more interesting by being able to create different effects with the same media.
By having the smudging controlled and coming together in the centre it creates a target which attracts the viewer eye.
By using the hatching technique the image starts to jump out at you and adds a three dimensional feel.
The positive and negative space attracts the attention to the core of the drawing.
It’s the composition of the lines and planes that make this drawing successful.
